In the history of Australian cricket there had always been some of the finest pace bowlers who have made the cricketing world proud. Many feels that Cricket to is more than play, it is a kind of worshipping in the summer sun. Glen Mcgrath is one such devoted player from Australia who seems to take cricket nothing less than adoration.This famous fast bowler from New South Wales has dominated the international cricket throughout his career.His cricketing career started after he made his first debut against New Zealand at Perth, in 1993–1994.

His inexplicable contribution to the world cricket has earned him the name in the list of the Cricketing Legends. Bowler Glen Mcgrath is reputed for being highest number of Test wicket taker in the International cricket. Nicknamed as “Pigeon”, this cricketer has been the major leader in Australian bowling attack for almost two decades. This 6ft 5ins tall bowler did not have the fast pace, but his accuracy and delicate seam movement has made him one of the Best Fast Bowlers in Cricket.
It had been a sheer delight watching Glen Mcgrath charging down at the batsmen. Apart from being an exclusive bowler, he was also blessed with the talent of being an efficient outfielder with a strong and accurate throwing arm.

Going by the statistics, Glen Mcgrath has taken 563 wickets in 124 Test matches and 381 wickets in 250 ODIs. Although he was often accused of misbehaving on the field, it did not harm his reputation as one of the legendary bowlers of International cricket. As a career of a bowler he has given a lot to the cricket lovers to boast about Cricket. His batting skills should not be underestimated since he can hit the balls out of the ground and stick to the wicket when situation demands. After his official retirement from Test cricket on the 23rd of December, 2006, he still nurtures the desire of coming back in the Twenty-20 matches.
