The details about career of Hanif Mohammad and about cricket are provided below. This cricket player was born on 21st December, 1934 in British India. He played for the country of Pakistan, after independence. He is regarded by all and sundry as one of the greatest batsman of all times.
Cricket player Hanif Mohammad played the sport between the time period of 1952 and 1969/70. In all he played a total of 55 test matches where he scored 3915 runs at an average of almost 44 runs per innings. Throughout his career, this player has been entertaining the spectators and his team with the finest exhibition of batsmanship. This is what enabled him to score 12 test hundreds.

Hanif Mohammad is one of those rare Pakistani test match players who has been able to perform well on foreign conditions. The subcontinental batsmen are infamous for their inability to play in conditions alien to them. But Hanif has been able to overcome those problems and come out victorious. Many of the current as well as former players in cricket hold him in awe. He also held the record of highest individual score in a first class match when he scored 499 runs in a single innings. This record was broken by Brian Lara who scored 501 runs during a country match. It took a batsman 35 years to break cricket player Hanif Mohammad's record.
