Tracing the path of growth of any sport is interesting. The fact that a meager number of 10 countries play test Cricket does not match the overwhelming craze About Cricket. In most parts of the world this game is like a religion. Cricket in the Caribbean Islands assumes a special meaning to the romantics. Bathed with sunshine and the flavor of Calypso, the beach Cricket over there reflects an easy-going spirit that typifies the West Indian lifestyle. The mood of festivity surrounding a Cricket venue in West Indies is awesome.

No matter how tough the game is played on the ground, everything dissolves into a friendly warmth off the field. The domestic cricketing set-up in West Indies is also unique. Different islands have different teams playing for a single tournament. The emergence of club Cricket in West Indies saw the rise of many iconic cricketing personalities like Sir Garfield Sobers, Viv Richards, Clive Lloyd, Michael Holding, Brian Lara, Courtney Walsh and the list is virtually unnumbered!
