Lords is a hallowed cricket ground in St John's Wood in London. TQ268827 is the grid reference. Lord's is named after Thomas Lord its founder. MCC - Marylebone Cricket Club owns it and it is home to Middlesex County Cricket Club, the ECB - England and Wales Cricket Board, the ECC - European Cricket Council and till recently also home to ICC – International Cricket Council. A lot of Lord's was made again at the end of twentieth century. These included the Mound by Sir Michael Hopkins and Grand Stand by Nicholas Grimshaw and a futuristic Media Center. The Pavilion too was renovated in 2004 and 2005. The stadium's capacity is 32,000 spectators with another 10,000 increase planned.

At Lord's hosts test matches and ODIs – one day Internationals are played in accordance with a strict calendar. Some select domestic cricket too is played at Lord's.
